We are looking forward to another stellar lineup in 2012, featuring the return of GLOWB, Name TBD, Luis Resto, the Facebook band contest winner, and 2 others. We plan on featuring comedy and other fun stuff in between acts this year.

Band Contest
How would you like to have the chance for your band to perform in front of thousands of people at a huge outside festival?
We're looking for ONE band to perform at the Monroe Street Fair *HASH BASH Festival* Saturday, April 7th in Ann Arbor. All styles and genres of music accepted.
Submit ONLY one song, either digitally with an MP3 or by a direct link to your music online (please check that your link is actively working before sending). Include your bands music genre, band name, how many members, city, phone number for contact, bio is optional, and web site address if you have one.

The 7 finalists that are chosen will perform at The Monroe Street Fair Pre-Party, Contest and Repeal Today Benefit for the Hash Bash Festival on Friday, March 2nd at The Ritz in Warren. The winner will be announced LIVE at the event and immediately posted on The Monroe Street Fair Facebook page.
The Pre-Party Admission is $5.00

The Monroe Street Fair Hash Bash Festival Pre-Party, Contest and Repeal Today Benefit at the Ritz in Warren, Mi on March 2nd, will help benefit Repeal Today in ending Marijuana Prohibition in Michigan. They will also be at the event promoting the initiative, collecting signatures, and informing people about how to get involved. Stay tuned here and on Facebook for updates. New Petition to end Marihuana Prohibition in Michigan
The Committee for a safer Michigan is the driving force behind a new petition effort to bring the end of marihuana prohibition. They will be gathering signatures to put the issue on the ballot for voters to decide. This petition would be an amendment to the state Constitution and would clear up much of the legal ambiguities that exist under the current format of the Michigan Medical Marihuana Act of 2008. The amendment covers marihuana acquisition, sale, cultivation, ingestion, delivery, paraphernalia to all persons over 21 that are not incarcerated. 2007: David Arquette makes appearance at Monroe Street Fair. Last year, David Arquette made an appearance to promote his movie, The Tripper. He talked about his movie, signed autographs, and mingled with the crowd. It just shows, you may never know who will stop by and visit us! Thanks for stopping by David.
